      FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)

      What is the GROL?  

      GROL Product ImageThe PG qualifies the holder to operate, and make some basic equipment adjustments to, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) radio installations. It also confers the operating authority of the MP.

      Which element exams must I pass for the General Radiotelephone Operator License?  

      You must pass Elements 1 and 3 to meet the written requirement of the GROL License.
