What is a course extension?
The $95 course extension fee is for current students who are unable to complete their course within the 1-year timeframe. After one business day, an email will be sent to the student with the new course expiration date and login information for the course.
NOTE: All quizzes/final exams are reset with the course extension. No progress is saved.
What does the course extension fee cover?
The $95 fee covers several different costs involved in extending your course including administrative costs, the costs involved in resetting your program as well as the maintenance and support throughout the extended course period. When the course is extended, all quizzes and tests that you have taken will be reset and you must take them over again. Any quizzes and tests taken prior to your course expiration date do not count. You will need to complete all quizzes and tests online and take all your proctored exams prior to the new course expiration date.
What happens once I extend my course?
Once you extend your course, you will receive an email confirming your order has been processed and within 1 business day you will receive another email with your course extension information including your new course expiration date, username, classroom key and login information. Do not try to log in to the course until you receive the follow up email notifying you that your course has been reset.
Can I extend my course prior to the course expiration date?
If you extend prior to the course expiration date, the new expiration date will be set one year from the date that you pay for the extension. (Ex: If your expiration date was April 3, 2012, and you registered for a course extension on January 2, 2012, your new course expiration date will be January 2, 2013.)
Can I extend my course on the expiration date?
If you extend on the course expiration date, the new course expiration date will be one calendar year from your original course expiration date. (Ex: If your expiration date was April 3, 2012, and you registered for a course extension on April 3, 2012, your new course expiration date will be April 3, 2013.)
Can I extend my course after the expiration date?
If you extend after your course expiration date, the new course expiration date will be set for one year from the date you extend the course. (Ex: If your expiration date was April 3, 2012, and you registered for a course extension on July 15, 2012, your new course expiration date will be July 15, 2013.)
Can I extend my course if I have extended it once before?
You can extend the course as many times as you need. There is no limit on how many times you can do a course extension as long as you have not passed our captain's license final exam.

When the course extension is processed by the tech department, they will transfer your old account into your new account.
