Can I get my 25/50 or 100 Ton Masters captain’s license online?
The Mariners Learning System suite of USCG-approved courses offers an alternative to taking time off, driving to a classroom, and sitting in a class with an instructor. These courses are structured for those pursuing a professional career in commercial boating operations and recreational boaters wishing to increase their knowledge.
Once you complete our online course, you will test online at home for our exam.
How much does the Masters cost, and what is included?
The 25/50 or 100 Ton Masters costs $895. You will receive one year's access to our award-winning Internet-based narrated lecture and interactive learning system.
Additionally, you will be shipped a training chart and an Official Test Packet for your original attempt at the Chart Plotting final exam in a red MLS Carrying Bag.

How long does the Masters online course take to complete?
You have one year to complete our course and pass our final exam online. The Masters is designed as an 87-hour online course. Due to the self-paced nature, the average student takes around 50 to 55 hours to complete the Masters course.
We have had students finish in as little as three days, three weeks, three months, or up to a year. It is done at your own pace at your own time.
What are some of the course subjects within the Masters program?
Some course subjects you will learn about when taking our Master's program are navigational rules of the road, aids to navigation, basic seamanship skills, tides and currents, vessel handling skills, and emergency procedures.
